• Breaks the power of money over us (1 Tim 6:17-19)

B. Tangible Economic Benefits
• We may save taxes by giving
• We may improve our cash flow by giving non-liquid assets

C. Eternal Benefits
• Through giving we lay up treasures in heaven (Mt 6:20)
• We help others receive eternal life (Lk 16:9)
• Show ourselves trustworthy of eternal responsibilities (Lk 16:11)
