Brian Keeley

Dear Bill,

I enjoyed having breakfast with you the week before last and the opportunity to learn more about the exciting plans for University Baptist Church and the depth an breadth of your current outreach ministries. I have always admire UBC as a Christ-centered church that lives and breathes its mission. God has certainly blessed the church and your ministry, and you have much to be proud of. I was particularly impressed with your local and global missions report because it goes right to the point of “introducing people to Jesus Christ and helping them grow to be more like him”.

With the announcement of your RE initiative, you undoubtedly have a daunting task in front of you, but i know UBC will be most successful in clearing this last hurdle. After watching UBC persevere the past many years with your land acquisition and seemingly-endless zoning challenges, it is clear that God has this “spiritual Cape Canaveral” on his radar screen. Your new facility is desperately needed, given your current site and the tremendous growth in the church ministries the past many years. While this initiative, on the surface, appears to be bricks-and-mortar project, anyone who knows about UBC recognizes it is much more than that: it is a continuation and expansion of God’s work to spread the Good News and introducing people to Jesus Christ. It is really about spiritual growth, not physical growth.

As on of the most successful and dynamic churches in the nation, you have my undying admiration and full support for this next step in your future. UBC has an amazing and impression story to tell, and I am sure our community will embrace this next step in your mission to share the word of God.

Even though Susan and I belong to another local church, we were so impressed with the UBC story that we decided to make the enclosed donation to the RE campaign.

Bill, may God continue to bless University Baptist Church and your ministry.

Sincerely,

Brian Keeley
