REborn: Henry Meyer
As I look back I realize that I was like the guy that asked Jesus about being born again. I was baptized as a seven year old and knew I was a Christian. As I grew older I became a leader in my church, a teacher, treasurer, a deacon and choir member. Then at the age of 37 I went against everything I said I believed and divorced my wife and married my best friend. Suddenly, I had no connection with God. A relationship I thought was there was gone. Of course, during this time I could not read my Bible because it only pointed out my sin. Finally, in desperation I asked God to let me see me as He saw me…I was so ashamed of what I had done…not only with my family…not only with the church members that looked up to me…but of how filthy I was in God’s sight…and yet I knew He still loved me…it was then…really for my first time I surrendered Henry to Him. I realized that I had been playing god in my life and not allowing Him to control my life. It was after that He led me to the ministry He wanted me to join Him in and brought JOY beyond my wildest dreams.
I WAS TRULY RE-BORN IN CHRIST.
