[Q.4.] What will the facilities actually look like?
[A.4.] The overall exterior look of the facilities is “contemporary Mediterranean”. The 185,000 square foot building will be in the center of the 20 acre site with 1200+ parking places surrounding the building on every side. At the center of the building complex you will find an enclosed 28’ high atrium with four “wings” extending out from it in four different directions. The biggest wing is the 1800-seat worship center which also includes practice spaces, meeting areas, and worship arts offices in a two-story area behind the platform. A second wing is an L-shaped, two story building. The first floor of this wing will accommodate all of our Preschoolers. The top floor will house UBC staff offices and adult areas along with a large reception area. The third wing is our “multi-purpose” wing. It includes a small gym with a full stage, a bookstore, our sixth-grade area, and our student ministry area. The fourth wing is a two story building that houses our elementary ministries on the first floor and a beautiful FamJamz Theatre on the second floor. Between the elementary area and the atrium we have a full service, commercial grade kitchen and a “Starbucks-like” café that opens into the atrium. A 275-seat Chapel is a freestanding building just to the south of the main building complex connected with covered walkways to the main building.
