[Q.8.] Why are we relocating?

[A.8.] The answer most simple and clear is to make room for more people in fulfillment of our purpose. Our new construction and relocation will provide more room and improved facility for us to do what God wants us to keep on doing until Jesus comes – introduce people to Jesus Christ and help them grow to be more like Him.

Our current site of 2.5 acres is too small to accommodate all who are coming and all we desire to reach. We have tried every conceivable way to increase our service capacity (ie. Multiple services, styles, times, even moving ministries offsite to create more room), but to this point we have not been able to meet the need at hand. Our new worship center will seat 1800, the room at present seats 660 comfortably.

Our facility for years has been creating hardship with not enough classroom space for preschoolers, elementary age children, and youth. All the large areas that we have are currently being used, and we are severely limited when it comes to fellowship space for social gatherings or medium to large events. Sometimes we have had to rent space off site, which is neither convenient nor cost effective. Due to multiplied use of limited space, weddings and other ministry events are often not able to be scheduled. Many have had to move offsite as well. The new plans provide three times the space we currently have.

Our parking is insufficient. We own less than 125 parking spaces, but regularly have multiplied hundreds of cars parking all over the neighborhood. The new site provides ten times the capacity we now have.

Our present building is not designed to allow the optimum security environment for our children’s areas and there is major congestion in hallways between services.

In addition, other areas where we have felt the pinch of our limited space include our playground equipment and yard play area for preschoolers and elementary children, our support groups and counseling ministry, and equipment storage, to name a few.
