[Q.6.] Who is overseeing the project?

[A.6.] Church By-Laws authorize our Long Range Planning Committee to oversee the construction of new church facilities. They have chosen to work through a Building Committee and to contract the services of an Owner’s Representative who has extensive expertise in the construction field. In 2007 we contracted with Skyline Management to provide Owner’s Representation services for us. Dan Koffsky is our “man on the job” from Skyline Management and is overseeing all aspects of pre-construction and construction of the building. He works alongside Ramiro Betancourt, a member of UBC who serves as chairman of our building committee. They give monthly reports to our Long Range Planning Committee and are responsible to the LRP for the construction process. A separate Steering Committee, chaired by UBC member Dan Prinzing, is responsible for coordinating all financial aspects of the project – including budget planning, sale of the building, capital campaign, borrowing of funds, and cash flow management. They, too, are responsible to the Long Range Planning Committee for reporting and approval.
